William J Weber is a freelance horn player in the Elgin area. He received his Bachelors in Music Performance from Northern Illinois University in 2025. Currently, William is working on his Masters in Music Performance at DePaul University, anticipating a 2027 graduation. William currently holds positions in the two top ensembles at DePaul.
Throughout middle and high school, William played in various youth symphonies. William reached co-principal horn of the Chicago Youth Symphony Orchestra by senior year. After graduating high school, William immediately made it into NIU's top band and orchestra. William performed as NIU's Wind Ensemble's Principal Horn in 2025. In 2024, William served as third horn in the Credo National Music Festival Orchestra, performing Mahler's Symphony No. 1 at Chicago's Orchestra Hall. Through various scholarships and talent scholarships, he was able to afford NIU and focus on his future of being a performer. Insight into NIU and DePaul, from a student's perspective, to experience with college auditions, there are few better.
